Exciting Maintenance Technician Opportunity – Join a Leading Aerospace Facility!
Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician with a passion for both mechanical and electrical systems?
We are seeking talented individuals to join a dynamic team within one of Europe’s premier aerospace service providers, with over 60 years of industry-leading experience.
About the Company: Operating from three locations across the UK, this renowned aerospace facility provides specialist services for over 5,000 components across various aircraft systems. Their expertise spans aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear, and safety equipment, serving international and regional airlines, helicopter operators, and airframe manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site repairs and modifications of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Undertake mechanical fault finding and maintenance on pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding machines, and more.
- Perform machine strip-downs, rebuilds, and installations, including pipe fitting and machine moves.
- Electrical fault finding, installation work, and maintenance, including panel building and PAT testing.
- Programme temperature PID controllers and safely isolate and lockout equipment.
- Create risk assessments/method statements and document maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with subcontractors on maintenance, repairs, and modifications to plant and equipment.
- Support critical maintenance and breakdowns with out-of-hours work as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a maintenance or repair technician/engineer role.
- Strong electrical knowledge (single and three-phase systems).
- Mechanical experience with plant equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving, fault-finding, and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office).
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Detail-oriented and cost-conscious with the ability to work within budgets.
